"What Walter Marion Jacobs (Little Walter) and Mckinley Morganfield (Muddy Waters), Howlin Wolf, Magic Sam, John Lee Hooker, Sonny Boy Williamson, Big Walter Horton, Otis Rush, Junior Wells, James Cotton and others created in the '50s and '60's with the Chess brothers (Phil and Leonard) has yet to be duplicated, though countless musicians have tried. It is still a worthy effort, especially when their foundation leads to so many other "blues and jazz" directions. This is why "Lights Out" was created. Named after a haunting Chromatic Harmonica classic of Little Walter's that typifies the power and emotion that only he could create, the Lights Out Blues Band is music from those great "Chess Masters", others who've tried - and from us."
